Surprise!
I really didn't think I was going to do one of these this year, but as we got closer and closer to Halloween, I found myself thinking up what I would be dressing up the Couch characters as. Pretty soon I had almost the full roster in mind and I hated to waste the ideas I'd come up with. I can't promise I'll continue this tradition indefinitely, but as long as it's fun for me to come up with costume ideas for them I'll probably continue to post them!
Happy Halloween Everyone!

On the Couch gets top billing today, as this is the final strip in the series.
It's been a fun 10 years creating and sharing stories about this wacky cast of characters. Wendy going to "imagination boot camp" and realizing her own power was an old idea that I had, but knew it would have meant the end of the strip, if I ever told that story. When I initially decided to end the strip, I had trouble figuring out what I would do to give it a proper send off and finally, I circled back to the idea and realized that that was the ending I wanted.
So, one last madcap adventure followed by harkening back to one of the earliest comics but with a different twist became a fitting end. These characters are still a big part of my life and I know most of them will still grace the pages of my personal sketchbook for years to come as they offer me unsolicited advice and provide a bit of whimsy, and I hope they brought you all a little bit of laughter along the way.
As always, thanks for reading!
Ya'll didn't really think I'd leave you like that, did you?
Well....That's something...
Meanwhile....
Wendy considers the consequences of her actions.
Rummy J, the unexpected hero?
Things seem to be going totally fine.
Something, something, something, keep your head when everyone around you is losing theirs, then you'll be able to grab the Vienna sausages, my son.
Or something poetic like that.
