I was gonna say something like “mind like a squirrel” — as in hiding things and not finding half of them back. But then I realized that, by itself, that might sound insulting.
I got the last of my birthday in November. My b’day is the last of July. Christmas in February or March was a real thing through my children’s childhoods.

My mother does this EVERY GIFT GIVING OCCASION.
