#1427 Eggs

Absolutely unhinged. I thought about copying him since I was in a bit of a rush, but I checked anyway and found two broken eggs! Always check!

  1. Where I come from, the eggs are squeezed between two walls of cardboard and wrapped in sealed plastic, not in cartons. It makes it impossible to check but in my life I have had maybe two broken eggs. They also come in packs of 15 and 30 instead of by dozens which I find weird.

    1. Admittedly, I’ve very rarely had a broken egg, but the handful of times I have were enough! I’ve seen larger cartons of eggs at our store, but I’ve never given them much thought (they won’t fit in the spot for eggs in the fridge door) and now I’m curious if they are 15 eggs or 18 (more likely, since the cartons are the same length as the dozen cartons).

  2. Guy likes to live dangerously, I guess

    1. Right? I mean, will he need a full dozen eggs right when he gets home? Probably not, but dang, I want my full dozen!

      1. I paid for a dozen, I WANT a dozen.
        This is non-negotiable.

  3. I always open the carton and move each egg with my finger to see if any are stuck to the bottom meaning they’re broken.
Not too long ago some old lady (older than me, at least) told me I didn’t have to count them, if one was missing I’d see the empty space.
    She was completely serious…
when I explained what I was doing you could see the light come on…
But it took a few minutes…
Not the first time it’s happened…
Some people just deserve broken eggs

    1. I have to pick them up, just to make sure. Occasionally, they’re cracked and haven’t leaked yet. And yeah, don’t check at your own risk!
