No, house-burning is only for cockroaches & earwigs. (Although I am contemplating it for the silverfish that seem to laugh at the exterminator guy’s pesticide.)
As for the fan…yup, moving the bed sounds spot on. Or wearing an eye mask. 😉
If our bedroom didn’t have one of those recesses in the ceiling (that’s supposed to be “artistic” I guess???) we could probably get away with just moving the bed. But it’s noticeably closer to one side of the recess it’s mounted in.
Since the husband bounces back and forth from days to nights, the windows are all foiled over and it’s Very Dark in the room once the lights are out. I’ll just have to learn to ignore it.
