I’m not thrilled about taking a break, but I’m just not sure I’m going to be able to keep up my usual pace while having to concentrate on doctor’s appointments, etc. So thank you for your patience and understanding while I work on getting better! I hope to be back on track in May.
Quite frankly, if you don’t take care of yourself, comics could possibly cease… for more than a few weeks. Obviously, none of us want that, nor any of the other gloomy consequences. Take the time. If in doubt, take MORE time. Seriously. We’ll still be here.
And thank you for letting us know what’s going on.
Well, crap! You do what you need to do, for as long as you need. Blood clots are scary, scary serious business. We’ll be here when you get back, and we’ll be hoping for the best the whole time.
Jeebus that’s scary. I know a couple of people who went through a similar experiences (they’re okay). I hope the medication resolves the clot quickly and without incident or too much long-term maintenance.
Thanks so much for the warm wishes, everyone! It means a lot that everyone is being so supportive of me taking a break! For those of you on FB, I plan on dipping in there every so often to let folks know how I’m doing.
Right when I’m taking a FB break for mental health being stupid reasons. Well, I’ll check in here periodically and see if you’re back. TAKE YOUR TIME. There’s absolutely no rush, and I would rather you were healthy.
Man, I totally get needed to take a break from FB!
I will definitely post a comic here letting folks know when I’m back. FB is just for non-comic stuff about my health. Hope you find better health soon, too!
Absolutely understand, glad to know you’re taking care.
Much as I’m a poop about FB, i might-could “lurk in” to see how you’re doing.
Best wishes & creature-love, meanwhile!
*sending lots of healing thoughts/energy your way* Please take your time and get better!!! We would much rather have comics some time in the future (& for a very long time to come) then have you push yourself and stop having them altogether because of complications from the seriousness that is a blood clot!!! Follow your Doctor’s instructions and get lots of rest (well, as much as you can with munchkins, fur babies, and adulting)!!
Humph. Enough of this supportive stuff. I’m in withdrawal here!! What’s more important: Your continued health and well-being, or my entertainment?!?! Priorities, Lady!!!!
(I hereby await the hate from commentators too uptight to recognize facetiousness and sarcastic humor.)
Sorry to hear about your health problems. Hope they get better very soon. Wife & I, we love you, also not in a creepy way 🙂
Meantime keep writing down the ideas so you’ll have a stack of them when you come back!

Dang! Get will and take all the time you need. Clots are not to be trifled with.

That is much more important than a webcomic, take all the time you need to heal. We aren’t going anywhere.

No worries Surly, your health always comes first

Take care of yourself! Focus on the critical stuff, drawing comics is a very distant second (or third, or fourth) place. We’re rooting for you!

Please get better soon!!! We love you! But not in a creepy way… 🙂

You’re doing right. Raf and Xena need you healthy more than us lurkers need more comics. 🙂
Rest up, try not to stress.

We love you, and we want you to be okay more than we want more comics. Be well.

Yeah, FB’s a beast, but the page is public, so I don’t think you even have to be a member to see it. It’s just easier for me to post there ^_^;

My wife had three DVTs earlier in the year. Being on blood thinners sucks. I hope you get better soon.
