My favorites! Especially if the peanut butter was extra salty to offset the sweetness of the taffy.

Second favorite is Squirrel Nut Zippers. Always loved getting those in the trick or treat bag.

    1. I’ve never had the Squirrel Nut Zippers…But I LOOOOOOVE these! I almost always get a bag for myself XD

  2. Yuck. You and my mom. I’d always trade those nasty things to her for better stuff, which was anything except Bibles or toothbrushes.

    1. OM NOM!

Also, geez, anything other than candy on H’ween is just The Worst. If you’re not gonna give it out, just turn off the lights.

  3. I love those as well

    1. *HIGH FIVE*

  4. Pojo should consider what he just said about his creator; if she has problems, then what does that make him? a manifestation of the same? he’s her mind-baby

    1. PoJo has RADICALLY different tastes than I do XD

  5. If you have a child that suffers from severe food allergies, Halloween is not the coolest of things for them to attend. With the possibility of something with peanuts or another potentially dangerous allergy causing ingredients out there, they tend to stay at home. Now some homes have pledged to offer up allergy-free treats instead. These families hand out toys or other goodies during Halloween. These families mark their homes with a blue pumpkin on their doorsteps. Kids with allergies know that they can visit safely and get small toys or presents instead of candy.

    1. Yeah, I always forget to put out the teal pumpkin, but IRL we always have a selection of treats: Chocolate, No Chocolate/ No Nut, and Not Food. And every kid that shows up gets a treat, regardless of costume (because some kids have various aversions to masks or certain textures, etc). I definitely want Halloween to be as inclusive as I can make it!

      1. You don’t have to wear a mask, you don’t have to wear makeup, but you have to dress up somehow. If you’re too cool to make some sort of effort, then you’re too cool for candy.

The words we use are, “If you’re too old to dress up, then you’re too old for candy.” Apparently we’re in the minority, because their bags have candy, and they just shrug their shoulders. (I guess they know we’re right, even though they’re getting away it.)
