SO clueless. I assume it’s because they think art is “easy” or just because I happen to draw a lot, and I’m “just going to do it anyway” I won’t mind taking time away from my own projects (paid or personal) to do some free work for them. UGH.
That’s how I feel when I ask a professor if they could use an undergraduate researcher and they say they can take me on if I volunteer my time. Screw that “unpaid internship” crap, I need to eat and pay for rent. If it’s going to take any time at all away from my studies, it needs to be something I’m getting paid for.
