As a twin, who knows other twins, do NOT be cute with the names. That’s how someone winds up named Z.
This goes for all kids, but double for twins. Our names are not the place for you to advertise your creativity to the world. Pick the name for the kid, not as some prop.
My husband and I recently had a baby. She’s 4 1/2 months now.
We didn’t find out the gender until she was born. We had no trouble picking out a boy’s name, but COULD NOT decide on a girls name, until she was already 2 days old.
He wanted her name to be Eowyn. I kept telling him more or less what was said above “How is she supposed to get taken seriously with that as a first name?” The best part of this: it is now her middle name.

Yeah, I definitely think it would be harder for twins, as they already gain a lot of extra attention.

Yeh, I’m down with offbeat middle names! Like, I couldn’t tell you half of my friend’s middle names because it’s just never really come up.
Also, congrats!

Thanks.

Knew some folks years back (now divorced, imagine that) whose daughter IS named Eowyn.
Few years ago, I met her husband at a picnic. She turned out fine, happy to say. But we had a good time discussing her father. 🙂

The fact that I lived through those days and didn’t even remember the reference suggests that it would be fine.

That’s fair.
I still feel like Adora is just a strange name in general tbh. But then at the end of the day, it’s wouldn’t be my kid XD
There were plenty of folks who didn’t like the name we picked for our kid, but now it’s just her name.
