It’s got a CD player because the car’s 17 years old (it still has a tape deck XD). While I would love to have a AUX jack, it never occurred to me that they would start leaving CD players out of them these days!
Oh please, they’re kind of like the video game industry in that anything they can charge you extra for, they will. Want an MP3/CD player in that brand new car? It’ll cost you.

Was the baby in the car at the time? I have found that they are grand masters at demanding attention JUST as that favorite song starts.

You *are* kind of busy driving a car. That does require at least some essential focus. And the other drivers on the road will thank you. ;^p
(Also, you’re lucky; our new car has no cd player. We miss it. *sighs*)
