My mom would put bread bags on our feet as kids, since it’s ridiculous to buy snow boots that a kid will outgrow in 8 seconds when they live in Alabama and see snow once every few years XD

My Grandma did this for me and my siblings in Michigan as well. When we were children, that is. But then, it wasn’t because we’d only wear them once a year. It was because we couldn’t afford real boots that year.

i know a guy who put a plastic grocery bag around his sock cuz it was in a walking cast which has the toe open and he would be in the snow
