Winter Solstice on the Apache Reservation, 10,000 feet up on the sacred White Mountain. The Midwinter festival starts at sunset and lasts unbroken until sunrise. Snow started falling early afternoon, with 48 inches by the next morning. At least we had two large bonfires, but as Kha-diyin I play the part of Coyote and was wearing only a mask and three colors of body paint. I discovered that there are deeper meanings to the term ‘cold’

Most of the time, yeah. It does get hot and humid as hell down here, though. And Savannah DOES get the occasional hurricane, so there’s that!
