Yeh, I know that it’s pretty awful. I remember learning about it when I was learning about WWI (I think that’s where the condition got it’s name, if I recall.) It was pretty rampant in Vietnam, as well.
That’s one of the reasons i wear sandals and no socks most of the summer. They are easy to take off for wading and bare feet dry so much faster than sneakers.

Seriously though, trenchfoot is bad and can happen in 80 degree weather. You learn about this sort of stuff in the military.

Yup, WWI. Though, I believe they first saw the symptoms in the last year of the Civil War as well. *goes to look it up*

The only sandal like shoe I had was a pair of flip-flops…which were definitely not suitable for a hike in the woods XD
The shoes I was wearing probably would have been okay if I hadn’t also been wearing socks!
