looks to me like she has fallen for something called the ‘honey pot’ in network security circles.
this is where the intruder is allowed to think they have actually penetrated the security and given a tour of a false site.
This is done so the authorities can study the intruder’s methods and prepare not only the legal case against the intruder, but a better defense against their methods.
This rather reminds me of a Berenstain Bears book…”The Spooky Old Tree.” (This was one of the good ones with a simple rhyming narration, not one of the creepy Christian ones or the ‘Everyone’s Having Fun and Momma Disapproves’ ones.)
Crawling through a tunnel with interesting, spooky stuff just out of sight…gives me nostalgia feelings. I like!
I did love the Berenstain Bears when I was kid. And yeah, the Christian ones that have come out recently are overbearing (argh! No pun intended!) at best…
