  1. Yup that works better

  2. Hey! That’s speciesist against donkeys. I have known several donkeys who were fine up-standing members of their community and take great offense at the implication that they have anything at all to do with criminals.

  3. It’s no more or less offensive than St. Paddy’s Day, since the slang ‘Paddy’ is just a diminutive of ‘Padraig’ which we render as ‘Patrick’. The etymology of ‘Paddy Wagon’ is disputed anyway, and it’s entirely possible that it’s just a diminutive of ‘Patrol Wagon’.

    1. That’s true, no one is really sure where the term originated from and it may have nothing to do with the Irish at all.

  4. Irish isn’t a race.

    1. And I know plenty of people who are Irish and proudly use the term “Paddy” in their speech, never flinching when others use it. Hell, one person I know it’s how her name is actually spelled on her birth certificate (Paddy, not Patty) and she proudly tells anyone who asks that yes, she is Irish. 😀

If anything I would think the Irish community would be proud of the fact that at one time they were the ones primarily keeping the peace. I know I would be, if it were me …

  5. I call it the “un-fun waggon”. It is the antithesis of the FunWagon.

    1. i wonder what the synthesis would be of those two, then.
