  1. “Bone and sinew hear these words…”

    (No looking things up required. Partial familiarity with runes + way too much time spent doing cryptograms.)

  2. She reminds me of the babe…

    1. What babe?

      1. The babe with the POWER!

        1. The power of Hoodo!

        2. Power of VOODOO!

          I swear, this thread is like some kind of ancient ritual, the kind from which I CAN NOT break away from XD

  3. Did you use Elder FUTHARK or Younger FUTHARK runes for what she’s saying? I have a runic font in my MS Word program but it’s Elder Futhark and either I’m misidentifying some of the runes, or that sentence she said makes no sense. The firs word and the last two come out as actual words using my runic font to try and translate, but the other words are complete gibberish and the first word (if translated correctly) doesn’t make sense for what it appears she’s trying to say.

    1. My comment is still in moderation for some reason, but it says “Bone and sinew hear these words…” I don’t know which alphabet it is, if either; I have some vague familiarity with runes, but mostly I just do a lot of cryptograms.

      1. Sorry about that! You’re good to comment again!

    2. it is elder futhark. it simply appears to be missing a letter. it translates as
      “Bone and Sinew hear these words.”

      1. We have a…couple of winners!

        The book I pulled these from had a separate symbol for “th” so I used that instead of “t” and “h” for “these”…assuming that’s the missing letter you’re referring to ^_^;

        1. You were quite correct to use that one letter for “th”. The letter in question is thorn, and it might interest you to know that when you see things like “Ye Olde Antique Shoppe”, the “ye” is actually “þe”, which is to say, “the”. (This is, according to Wikipedia, because y and þ look almost identical in Medieval blackletter.)

          If I were a Man in Black, I would totally be Agent Thorn. If that were taken, Agent Eth.

        2. Glad to see that Brian Froud didn’t steer me wrong (not that he would have in such matters XD)!

          I think I’d be Agent Eolh.

  4. Don’t think that will make it any better, but go ahead
