TECHnically, it's a "cottage pie" since there's no lamb in it, but either way, Xena really only likes the mashed potato topping and ends up with some other protein as long as it's an easy fix. She's tried it multiple times and arguing over food just isn't the hill I'm willing to die on.

What a coincidence, I’m planning Cottage Pie for supper tomorrow, but if I remember to get some ground lamb at the store this afternoon I’ll make Shepherd’s Pie instead, with ‘real’ mashed potatoes this time instead of instant.

Sometimes I’ll do the instant, but I’ve become a “snob” and only do the real thing now. I realized I was doctoring the instant ones so much that I might as well just do the same amount of work and just have “real” potatoes XD
