I have returned to the island! 

At least it's not Sonic 2! Again!.....I guess.

When I first got the game back in the throes of the 2020 pandemic lockdowns, Animal Crossing was a welcome escape to all the turmoil that was going on at the time, but I was also in the midst of keeping a preschooler entertained and then virtual school for a year (not to mention that I have to share the Switch with aforementioned child!). So I never got around to decorating and landscaping the way that I wanted to and I'm finally getting to! I know eventually I'll put it aside again for other games (Sonic 2, she calls to me....), but it's always comforting to return.
