Some sad news today, and I won't beat around the bush: This will be the final arc of On the Couch.
I will always love these characters, and I'm so glad that you all have come to love them too, but this is a decision that's been weighing on me for some time. When I started out, I never imagined I would have had created ten years of wild and weird adventures! I've had a lot of fun with this one over the years, but I want to tell different stories. And there will be more stories (in addition to Life On a Stick, don't worry, that one's not going anywhere any time soon!)! I'm not sure when and I'm not sure what my next project is going to be (don't hold me to it, but it may feature some familiar faces), but I'm looking forward to working on something new.
I don't have a specific end date, but we'll have one more Halloween Costume Party, and I'm sure Krampus will put in an appearance, plus some others we haven't seen in awhile.
I hope you'll enjoy this last romp and thank you all for coming along for the ride!

Sounds sad… But as long as you continue drawing in the usual quality I will be happy to read (nearly) whatever you create.

A big part of me will miss doing this comic, but I have told all the stories I originally meant to tell and more besides!
Though I’ve got a couple of ideas percolating, I’m going to take a break from managing two comics for awhile. But I can assure you whatever comes next will be well-crafted and full of humor! Glad you’ll be reading ^_^

All tales end. Well-written ones do so deliberately.

Thank you, it has been something I’ve been wrestling with for awhile. I really didn’t want to go on hiatus and just never come back to it, or just quit without an explanation. You all (and these characters!) deserve better than that!

I’m sorry to the comic go! But it’s definitely best to end it when you feel ready and with a fun story arc. Looking forward to The New Things.
