I…I think I’ve met that man. He was at my job, with the same attitude, the same lack of empathy, the same inability to think beyond “Why aren’t you making my life perfect?”.
Or maybe it was his brother. Or one of the clone army of inconsiderate, entitled persons.
You were exceptionally polite JUST thinking “leave”. I was a pink slip away from offering him a suggestion of where to go.
“Your down escalator isn’t working.”
“Yes, we know, you can walk down it.”
“But it’s not working!”
“We’re very sorry, there’s an elevator just over there if you want.”
“How am I suppose to get down!?”
I have had this conversation more than once. It scares me.
lol that reminds me of a Mitch Hedberg joke, “An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You would never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.”
oh contrair. they are out of order when they are dismantled to a point of becoming a big gaping hole in the floor. Seriously- they just removed the steps. at least the hole had railing around it.
