I suspect that the crumb was too stuck to the ground. If that is non-carpet you’re vacuuming, then it likely stuck due to being wet when it landed. If it is carpeted, then the carpet could have grabbed it.

I have had things get kind of embedded in the carpet, but while this particular vacuum is great for things like dust and hair/fur, it’s also just all around pretty terrible for things about the size of a popcorn kernel.
