Oh now I get it. Raf keeps buying all the things you were thinking about buying him as presents and so you would have to end up giving him lunch meat. I thought you were saying that Raf was a gift giver on par with the old lady from Christmas Vacation who gift wrapped a jello mold with cat food in it and the cat itself.
My solution: my wishlist is available year-round, and contains the things I want, but will not by due to price or inability to justify buying before more important things (things like a new radio for my truck [I don’t drive as much any more since I work at home now], new external hard drive [I don’t have enough time outside of work and kids to generate the data to fill it], &c.).

Well buying things for someone with his own money is a PLAGUE!!! Because you have to find something they would like, but never bought themselves =D

And that’s the secret to why Christmas is so stressful for folks XD

XD It’s me pretending to give lunch meet to Raf for Christmas. Because at least I know he’ll use it…and he would definitely be surprised.
And most importantly…He’s not going to buy it as a present for himself like just about everything else I try to get for him for Christmas!!!

The trick to this?
Two months before Xmas, the two of you start wishlists. Anything on the wishlist is off limits till after Xmas.

One year I gave my mom a box of used buttons.
I was ten, I think, and no one took me shopping so I could get her something.
