  1. A master’s in biology is probably in decent demand right now, as long as she has a decent grounding in microbio. Certainly more than a bachelors in astrophysics seems to be. I may have to try for grad school earlier than I had intended. :/

    1. She almost has a phd, but her specialty is wildlife management, so not particularly helpful with our immediate circumstances, but still!

  2. At the risk of sounding like Miss Butt-insky, I find the Spruce has good advice: https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-get-rid-of-chipmunks-2656308

  3. Once while camping, a pair of skunks spent the evening being way too interested in several of the campsites, including ours.
Before my husband and I went to bed for the night, he shuffled around the outside of the tent, having one last ‘bathroom break’ before bed.
I don’t know if it worked or not since we didn’t have food in the tent and they wouldn’t have been interested anyway, but we never heard either of them get close to us.

    1. I will say! Before you break out a funnel and squirt bottle though, try brushing your cat and leaving her hair around the yard.

      1. I keep meaning to do that! I’ve found a handful of holes, too, so I definitely know where to start spreading the stuff.

  4. Yarn Harlot Stephanie Pearl McPhee shares a story about trying to pee in the yard to scare of skunks in her latest book. Sadly I don’t think human pee is scary enough. On the other hand, those fox urine pellets don’t smell to human noses…

    1. I should look into these pellets….

  5. why do you want rid of the chipmunks, i am fine with animals in my yard.

    1. They could eat just about anything they want in my entire yard, but they insist on either eating the things I have intentionally planted, or digging up the things I have intentionally planted so they can bury other things. They’re cute little buggers, though.
