I prefer the dark parts of the year too, but because I’m nocturnal and go out into the wonderful darkness.
I vary between being nocturnal and being like a parrot (put a blanket over my cage and it’s sleepy time!).
So glad I live in AZ and don’t have to deal with any of that nonsense.
