No sugary soda? Not even Yankee semi-sweet tea?
DINER is supposed to be code for heart-stoppingly-bad-for-you grub!
You mean these people have a “breakfast” menu that does not include Biscuits and Gravy?!?!
I suggest you find the nearest Cracker Barrel or Waffle House (if they have the latter up there) and claim sanctuary. We’ll arrange a rescue party and get you back to where the menu makes sense.
No wonder the north is losing its population. Yankees come south to visit, get one taste of a REAL breakfast, and never want to leave.
Biscuits on the breakfast menu are almost as hard to find as beans on the breakfast menu. But I’m used to that meaning “big chains for some strange reason* forget that theses are breakfast foods, and you have to go to a small diner for them”
*If people in the Northern US don’t eat them for breakfast it might explain why chains don’t serve them though

Amen! And that gravy better be sausage gravy! Not that brown beef gravy they put on the fries up there.
To be fair, they had Pepsi stuff, but I’m a Coke girl.

There are Waffle Houses. And plenty of Cracker Barrels, which I love! Never been to a Waffle House though.

Huh. Maybe all the soda is just in the NJ rest areas? (And I swear I’ve had biscuits in diners in the Northeast!)

Other than the tea thing, kind of how this Pepsi drinker feels in Atlanta 🙂

My pa died in the cola wars, so drink your Coke and like it.

Haha, yeah, I’ve got a friend from NJ who feels the same way, she won’t touch a Coke, gotta be Pepsi.
