It’s true that a squirrel’s front paws generally don’t move this way when they skitter about, but from my quick research they look similar. I was surprised by how long their toes are, and I thought they had more “fingers!”
yeh a lot of rodents have nearly-hands, and are raccoons related? cuz they do too

Animal Nerd Time! Raccoons are part of their own family, Procyonidae, which includes Coatis and Kinkajous (but not Red and Giant Pandas). Squirrels have less of a thumb Than I thought they would.
i was rather pleased to hear that zoos and the scientists thereof figured out how to get giant pandas to get their freak on, they’re so adorable it would be a shame for them to go extinct, i dun want that future where it’s like, daddy what’s that? that’s a dog, what’s that? also a dog, only dogs now ( i love dogs, i also love variety)
