Ugh. That is the worst. I’ve been fortunate that Harley seems to be really uncomfortable with the idea of puking on furniture. Like, she’ll jump down to go vomit.
Because the vet told me that older dogs can have protein allergies, and lamb & rice solved her problem, I figured the cats might have allergies, too. After keeping track & eliminated several types of canned catfood — plus hairball remedy 3x/wk on the fuzzy guy — SO much better!
This…event…ended up being a precursor to a more serious problem for Harley. We thought she might have had a blockage in her stomach (she eats my hair and I can only vacuum so often), so the vet ended up doing surgery (after a bunch of other examinations didn’t pan out), and found out she had pancreatitis. Fortunately, all she needed was some medication to fix the issue, but it was super scary, and we could have lost her if we hadn’t caught it sooner.

That takes skill

…and WAY to much food…

I literally do not know how she contained so much food in her body.

Definite win for Harley

At least our cat doesn’t surprise us with his vomit. You can hear his “Meowowowowowow” echoing across the house. It’s quite a distinguished sound.

Yeh, it’s real easy to hear Harley gagging…but sometimes she does it while we’re sleeping, and I don’t always wake up.

The best kind of waterfall. Our cat has recently taken a liking to puking on our furniture. I much prefer it when she pukes on the floor.
